This cuts the deepest, as the scarlet presses against the blade. Caressing me gently: Rueful as the colour fades away…

NOTHING

About

The official Tumblr page of Joey Pacheco from the UK Band NOTHING.

NOTHING are;

Andreas who deals in words and guitars.

Joe speaks with music and key-boards.

What do NOTHING sound like? Neither Andreas nor Joe can answer that question, thought it’s certainly something. If electric keyboard sounds are considered “synthetic”, what are electric guitar sounds? It’s all just music to NOTHING - just tunes to twang the feet and poetry to strum the mind: The head and the heart banging heads.

With an eponymous album under their belt, expect the next NOTHING release to be at least a double-disc - possibly a triple. Currently buried under an avalanche of unreleased songs, NOTHING cover the lot: the loud guitars, the cinematic strings, the bass grooves, the choppy rhythms, the electrics and the acoustics. It all makes up NOTHING - and, if you listen closely, anything but nothing.

Lyrically, we’re talking exactly the same: It all goes in, it all comes out. Political? Yes, but not really party politics. (Parties are supposed to be fun, and party politics hasn’t been fun for years.) The personal’s in there too - all of it and then some: The dark side, the bad side, the light side, the good side - and all the inbetweenies. If you’ve ever felt anything, anywhere, at any time during your life, it might well be part of NOTHING.

So, listen and listen and listen again. If you don’t, you may be missing out, and while ignorance is supposedly bliss, in the case of NOTHING, it isn’t.

NOTHING, Elsewhere
